F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin SP Demo At a Glance
I'll say it outright; this is a game that makes me happy to be a gamer, and it's only a short demo.
The demo is completely packed with everything we know and love about FEAR, plus a whole lot more in terms of large-scale action.
Not only is the element of fear still ingrained in almost everything you do, but the action and AI has been refined, and along with cinema-quality sound and awesome, complex graphics you've got yourself the best gaming experience so far of 2009.
I vow to be one of the first to purchase this game on Steam, and I am most certain I will not be playing anything else for quite some time after that.
Quantum of Solace Demo Review on PC GameSource
I have posted my initial thoughts on the Quantum of Solace demo on PC GameSource.
Check out the review at PC GameSource for full details. Note that I've kept the review very short, which is the same word used throughout to describe the demo.
Finishing up a new song
Finally getting back into the swing of things and reinstalling Audition 3, I've resolved to finish the Faithlessness demo, and plan to have it ready within the next week or so.
Faithlessness is both my newest and one of my oldest songs. I started it immediately after releasing Killing Nothing several years ago. It went by several names since then... originally titled Broken Machine, it was changed to Faith in Faithlessness about two years ago, and shortened up to just Faithlessness last year.
The base track is the same one I've been working off of from the start. As a result, it will be my most polished work to date; although that's still not very polished as far as how I'd like it to be. I've re-mixed a lot of the tracks to fit better in the song over time, and added and removed several things. The last piece I'm finishing up on are the vocals. Finding just the right vocals to go with the mood and visions I had for the song proved very difficult over time, and the words only recently started coming to me.
It's turning out to be my favorite song yet. Followed closely by Stolen and then Destroy. You can check out all of my released tracks on the Broken site.
